I know there’s plenty of people out there that don’t like John Chen, but I believe he knows what he’s doing and he’s the right man for the job. Most of us out here in the wild don’t get to see the pieces of the puzzle let alone the big picture. Although this is true of many sectors, in the technology world it is critical to always be one step ahead of the game. In the past blackberry has had some success, but also some failures in this respect. In the here and now, I believe blackberry has several cards up its sleeve to be poised to be several steps ahead of the market.
I know most of us love our Blackberry handsets, and I love my new KEYone, and I have confidence that BBMobile will continue to roll out quality handsets, handsets as a whole are a has been. The smartphone market is highly saturated, and the average upgrade cycle is minimal at best.
I sincerely hope that JC, the board, and the comapny as a whole continues to invest and drive growth moving forward. Forget the stock dividend buddy, the best gift BlackBerry could give us is to make the market price jump from where it is not to back where it used to be, high double digits, or triple digits.
